Who is The Baseball Mechanic? |
| ...the right way goes a long way |
The Baseball Mechanic has been involved with baseball since he was seven years old. He is a student of the game.
As a player he reached the ranks of NCAA Division 1 play. He played one year with George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and the remaining three years with St. Bonaventure University in Olean, New York.
His success in university baseball is directly attributable to hard work and good mechanics. Half of his team mates were naturally more gifted than The Mechanic, but few had better results as he concentrated on getting the most out of his natural ability.
He got the most out of his natural ability by learning, understanding and executing the most efficient and effective movements (mechanics) for baseball's fundamentals (throwing, hitting and catching). He further gained advantages by learning, understanding and executing baseball strategies.
For the five years after university baseball The Mechanic took on the role of Associate Scout with the Houston Astros baseball club. Over the last twelve years he has coached at every level of amateur baseball (tyke to Senior,) with the last four years dedicated to coaching the Brampton Pioneers Senior baseball club (in Brampton, Ontario).
The Mechanic is married with three children and has a career outside of baseball. However, he is passionate about baseball and enjoys giving back to the game. |
